Jacob and Rachel Stiner were a pioneer Jewish family who moved from Ohio to California in 1852. They had five children: Alice, Henry, Ruth Ann, Mary and Albert. Their granddaughter Ina Stiner, was a teacher, librarian and historian in Porterville, Calif.
